Created for GBJam 14, THEME: OLD GOLD

Remember going to the arcade as a kid? Exchanging hours and your parents quarters to make memories and top leaderboards. Maybe your brother showed you the cheat codes or maybe it was an older friend. Maybe you loved space game or platformers. Maybe it felt like you were playing memories...

Maybe your back in that dingy arcade...

Or maybe this was all a memory.

The whole game feels dream-like, but the last game exceptionally feels like a weird fever dream. Games werent hard per say, but for the first I didn’t even know how I won and the last one was just puzzling. Not bad per say, just weird?

Graphically while the game looks okay, nothing really spoke gameboy to me, music and sfx were okay, maybe a tad to loud.

Not sure if you know, but even if I select options, the game starts.

Overall not a bad game, just a bit hard to put my finger on it.

Hi, Thank you for the feedback!

The games are slowly meant to feel like memories rather than games. I.e. the prize counter at the end of the 2nd game and the third game being another perspective of the arcade. I am seeing that the story needed to be communicated better since I fell into the trap of overlaying my own head cannon.

There is a volume slider for the both the music and sfx or overall in the settings! I never owned my own GameBoy though so I am taking a lot of notes from the other entries for the Jam, thanks!!

Yes, the start button is meant to fast track to start in the main menu but that seems to either be bad design or should have been communicated.

Again Thank you for the time to play, stream and give feedback. I really appreciate it and will take notes for the future!
